Originally from West Virginia, Tommy Cordell was inspired by his father who played at square dances.  He (Tommy) performed on the Grand Ole Opry from 1982 to 1991; was an understudy with the legendary Clark Kissinger; won the State of Florida fiddle championship in 1992, 1993 and 1994; and played with Bill Monroe and Bill Gaither.
