Born and raised in Connecticut, Ray started playing the bass guitar full-time at the age of 14 with his Dad's, and other country, bands.  He later moved into lead and steel guitars while playing in local bands and backing up Nashville artists.  Then he met Eric Weissburg (Deliverance, "Dueling Banjos"), joined his band and started doing radio and TV jingles, movie scores and record albums as well as playing the fiddle, banjo, mandolin and the harmonica.  Ray has appeared on TV, stage and theater with many artists, whether country, rock, blues or jazz.  He currently has his own production company where he records and produces cd's for local bands and artists.
