After playing trumpet for 12 years, Jim started playing the bass in 1973.  After much private study and two years in the music performance program at Illinois State University, Jim ventured out on the road.  Performing with such varied artists as Bob Hope, Myron Floren, countless blues and jazz greats, and many current and past country stars has helped to hone his musical skill.  Jim has worked as a producer and performer in the studio, as well as making appearances in TV, music video, and motion picture projects in Florida, Illinois, and Tennessee.
